I never realized how overwhelming creating a baby registry would be, until I started making one!
Calling all mamas and mamas-to-be! My hope is with this blog post I can save you the stress and hours I spent researching the best resources that you and your baby could need! As a first-time parent, I was EXTREMELY overwhelmed when building our first baby registry. We live in a world where options seem endless - which is incredible and helpful but can also be confusing and overwhelming. Not to mention there's a huge learning curve that comes with motherhood!
The items listed below are items personally on our registry, whether from recommendations from friends, family or other mamas in my community. The best piece of advice I've received is you may not actually know what your baby really needs until they get here! Each baby is unique and has different preferences. So, take your time and don't feel pressured to get one of everything. And it's also a good idea to keep somethings in their packaging just in case you don't end up using it! And at the end of the day, they'll really only need the basics!
Personally, we are using Babylist to create our registry. So far I've loved it and we've had no issues! Most of all, I love how organized and user friendly it is. And you can add any item from any website to your registry. Amazon is also a great platform, and they also give you a 15% off discount once you get closer to your due date.
My goal with this list was to give you a range of products and prices so there are options for everyone and every budget. And if things still seem out of your budget, Facebook Marketplace, Offer Up, and other resale platforms are a great way to get gently used items from other mamas!
Be on the lookout for other blog posts coming with the nursery design, hospital bag, nursing cart, etc. If you have specific requests for blogs you want to see, please let me know!
Happy registry building!
